Today has been the most amazing day of my life! Jenya is finally here with me and we are having to greatest time together. I'm so glad to say that she remembered me! And she was so happy despite the long day of travel. We'll all probably sleep well tonight. I wish I could write more but I'm extremely tired from the long day we've had. Jenya's already been to her first doctor visit, and she's very healthy! By the way, she is walking, as much as I was hoping she wouldn't be so that Rick and I could teach her. But there's so much more she will learn from us. Right now, she's trying to help me type, and doing a fantastic job with her letters. Actually, she keeps canceling me out of the post, which is making it that much harder to finish it! She's just so adorable. Nonna can't get enough of her - watching everything she does and thinking it's so darn cute. It's just about time for bath and bedtime, so hopefully we'll post more later. But here are a few pics from today. They aren't the best because we were spending so much time playing with Jenya that we didn't think about taking pictures. But don't worry, Nonna did get great video of Jenya pulling up in the car and reuniting with me again. I can't wait to show you all!

You are not going to bevieve this one, ofcourse I have been showing off Jenyas' picture to anyone who comes close enough to my computer. Well I just had one of our patiens come in with a present for Jenya..(Her name is Vi.) I will deliver it when I come next month.

You are all right. I just can't even begin to express my feelings right now. God has blessed us with the most perfect gift ever. I love her more than words can describe. And she has such personality, you're going to fall in love with her too, I just know it!

You look so adorable together on the couch. There is just no other feeling in the world when you get to hold your baby close. Especially when it is a baby you have wanted and waited so long for.

Holy Cow! I thought you were going to have to go through a visiting the baby home process again. But then, I log on and see momma and baby chillin enjoying a nice bottle of yum and nearly shouted in delight! Congrats! She is such a lucky girl! what now? When do you all make the trip home? Is there more court or just a waiting period? sorry so many questions, I am just so thrilled how quickly this is happening for you guys!
ReplyDeleteI can't put into words how happy I am for you! I realized at one point today that you had her for good and started getting all weepy in the car. I'm a wreck right now so it's a good thing I'm sitting here alone in front of the computer!!

Jessica-she's ours, totally and completely! One of the doctors from the baby house escorted her to Almaty to meet us and handed her over, that was it! Now we just have to finish up some paperwork to get her visa to the USA. We should be home by early next week :)
