We will be traveling to Qaraghandy (Karaganda)

We’ve made it to Kazakhstan! Three flights down, one to go. We are in Almaty for the day, hoping to explore a little before we head to Karaganda tonight. We need a break from flying, that’s for sure! Rick did really well for those of you who know how terrified he is of flying. Both long flights were so smooth you didn’t even know you were in the air. Then of course our short flight from Astana to Almaty was turbulent due to weather. I almost lost him there!

We probably won’t figure out the phone situation until we get to Karaganda, and most likely not until Monday sometime, so Mom and Dad we’re sorry we haven’t called yet! But I have a feeling Dad was following our flight path and knows that we landed safe and sound. He probably even knows the weather here today too, huh??

Well, hopefully our next post will be of our first visit to the baby house tomorrow! As soon as we know anything and hopefully have some pictures, we’ll let you all know! Until then, please pray for our safe journey to our baby’s home and in meeting the little one.

We’re off to see some of Almaty – it looks absolutely beautiful from our hotel window. It’s a little cloudy today, but look for the snow covered mountains in the background (if I’m able to post the picture I just took out our window!)
