Thanks everyone for the photo developing advice. Today we bought a CD from the Kodak store and loaded some pictures on it and tomorrow we'll try to print them out. It should recognize a disc that was sold here! We'll let you know. We have so many pictures from today and it's so hard to choose which ones to post. Hope you enjoy them!
By the way, that last picture is for you dad - can you see how much Jenya loves the iTouch already??
And I forgot to answer the question about taking Jenya outside. We are able to take her out onto the grounds of the baby house, but that's all. Since she's had a cold and it's only been in the 60s the last few days we've just stayed in the playroom. Hopefully by next week it will be in the mid to upper 70s and we can take her for her first walks outside! Can you believe it? One year old and she hasn't been outside yet. It makes me sad, but excited to see her experience it for the first time.
And someone asked about her size. She is very thin, so she fits in 6-9 month clothing but a lot of times they are too short in the leg because she is so long! She is probably closer to being 9-12 months now. I figured out on a growth chart that she is in the 23rd percentile for her weight but in the 47th for her height! Not too bad, and I'm sure she'll fill out as soon as we get her home.
Thanks for the updates from home! Renee have fun in the "woods" and give the boys a big kiss for me. Sandi, good luck with Ozzy. Skunk smell is really gross!
Kristen, these pictures are beautiful especially the middle one. I love that face and kissed her on the screen. It made my cry to think that she has never been outside before but she didn't know anything different. If you can take her out more often it would be good for her. Hopefully we won't lose Jenya to the iphone like we do Rick and dad. Don't get her too used to it yet:) I want her to be with us and not the iphone. Kyle said that he's going to be the best uncle ever and spoil her. He loves and misses you guys and can't wait until you all come home. He said he hates to see me kiss the screen and not the real thing.
ReplyDeleteLoves and kisses
Kyle i love you, you are such a sweetheart. I love how much you love your sister and i no you will be the best uncle!!! That is very sad that she has never been outside, but she is safe from the skunks lol!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis brings tears to my eyes that she's never been outside but what a first experience for you both to have with her! Here's to many more firsts that you can both have..
ReplyDeleteThere are going to be a lot of first,1st birthday with her mommy & daddy, first day out side with mommy & daddy, first ride in a car with mommy & daddy, first ride in a plane with mommy & daddy (prayfully) first being fed with a normal spoon by mommy & daddy, first trip to a store with mommy & daddy, yes and these are only a few first, oh! and did I mention with her mommy & daddy....
ReplyDeleteKy, you already are a great son, brother,brother-in-law, and now uncle, just to mention a few. I can not stop looking at Jenya, with that cute little smile, now with that big laugh....Lv U all
ReplyDeletehow crazy that she has never been outside :( even Paul said "oh" when I read that. She is in for a great experience where you live when she gets home, so many trees and grass to play! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me sad that she is almost one and has never been outside. I wonder why they don't take the children out. Take alots of pictures when you take her outside for the first time. This way all us krickets can experience it too. I love the new pictures.
ReplyDeleteGlad you solved the problem with getting pictures printed.
Hug and kiss Jenya for Aunt Kelly
All my love
Oh boy those little teeth are just way too adorable. And that smile! She is sure to wrap all that meet her around her little fingers.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Zindell I cried when you said you kissed the screen. I can imagine that you more than anyone are counting the days until you get to kiss those cheeks for real. Jenya is very lucky to have such an amazing and loving family to come home to.
It is hard to imagine never having been outside. I can imagine that she will love taking it all in when you show her what the outside is like. Tell her Kennedy is holding a spot for her in her new wagon. We will take many many walks together once you are all home.:)
Miss and love you guys.
And Kyle is sure to make a great uncle. Just prepare yourselves. I am sure Uncle Kyle is going to teach Jenya all his practical jokes. Keep her far away from his fake poop-lol
ReplyDeleteJust post them all!!!! we want to see as many as you can post.
ReplyDeleteTitle for the middle photo..."Happiest Little Girl in the World"...it's obvious :)
ReplyDeleteTONI, I would title it... "The Luckiest Little Girl in the World"...She now has Kristen & Rick for parents.")
