Jenya was perfectly happy playing on her daddy’s knees, so I’m not sure how I captured that first picture. I thought it was cute even though she looks so mean! I can’t believe that tomorrow is our last day with Jenya.
Thank you to all of you that have followed along on our journey and especially to those who left us comments every day. Your support has really meant a lot to us these last four weeks. I’m not sure when we will be able to blog again. It may not be until Saturday because tomorrow is going to be such a busy day. We have court at 9am, then a party with the doctors from the baby house to celebrate, and then another party with the caregivers (not sure why they’re separate unless we just misunderstood Natasha), and then our last visit with the babies. We leave for Almaty Friday evening and will stay there until our flight home leaves on Tuesday. Can’t wait until we can see you all again!
Praying for a safe and uneventful trip home. God keep you and Jenya until you are together again. OXOX
ReplyDeleteI will not know what to do with my mornings, which consist of,making my coffee, turning on my computer, and reading this blog enjoying looking at your beautiful daughter, and reading the many happy whishes from family & friends. I guess I will just have to read & reread all the blogs again.haha
ReplyDeleteHave a great day with Jenya, and give her LOOOOOTS of hugs & kisses.
And I pray for a uneventfull & safe trip home.

I love those faces!! Maybe she was saying "ok mom and dad enough with the pictures!"
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how bittersweet these moments will be for you. My heart just breaks for you just thinking about it. I will be thinking of you guys and praying for a safe trip. We love you guys.
I love that look. She is not going to let anyone get in her way. Standing next to you, she looks quite tall. Lv U
ReplyDeleteI thought exactly the same thing as April with the first picture - that she had enough with the pictures already. But she is still so adorable. You have enough pictures to keep posting them until Jenya comes home even when you are home.:) It may keep Aunt T happy until she can come up for the baptism. Praying for court and a safe trip both to Almaty tomorrow and home on tues. Love you all so much. Can't wait.....
ReplyDeleteLove the face! maybe she is trying out different faces for the camera! changing it up to give us all a laugh! thank you both very much for letting us be part of this journey. If this next month goes even 1/2 as fast as the past month, you will have that baby in your arms in no time! Good luck in court and have a safe flight home :)
ReplyDeleteNo, I think Jenya is saying, (if she could talk)"FOR REAL MOM,WELL HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS FACE????"haha
ReplyDeleteI can'timagine how hard this is going to be for you tomorrow, but just keep mind that the seperation is the last step to the rest of your lives together. It will be over soon and then your little girl will be home with her Mommy, Daddy, and all of her family that love her so much already.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see you next weekend!
Love you!
Every step you take no matter how painful is a step closer to being home with your baby girl. You have so many family and friends, that love you and support you. We will keep you busy, and before you know it you will be home with us and it will be time to celebrate. Mark and i will be waiting for you guys at the airport when you land. Safe trip,we all love you, can't wait to see you.
ReplyDeleteWhen you left it seemed like it would be a long time, but it has just flown by! Everyone at work is so happy for you, Rick and Jenya! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Be safe and strong. This part of the journey is almost over, then you, and Rick, and Jenya will have the rest of your lives together as the family you were meant to be.
ReplyDeleteIf she has The Look @ this age, imagine what's to come with teenage years, haha! Oh boy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck today with all the goings on and stay strong & rely on Higher power to get you thru the next phase until the Deyo circle is complete in NY.Thanks so much for sharing this part of your life!
safe travel - bring home the slippers - need to see them in person!
Hope you both have a safe trip home! You will be in our thoughts and prayers! Hopefully the time away from your beautiful daughter will go as quickly as it feels like this time has gone! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteLove that look! You can really see a change in how comfortable Jenya looks with you from the first few pics to today's. She really is a doll, and I will miss seeing new pics and more info on the blog. But how fast time has gone, soon she will have comfort in your arms again. Best wishes for all upcoming events, and safe travels!
ReplyDeleteKristen, the more I look at that first picture, the more I realize that Jenya is just trying to give you a fierce Tyra look. Don't you think?
ReplyDeleteDiane says that just looking at you and Rick anyone could see what loving parents you both are!!!You are all in my prayers. Have a safe trip and before you know it you will be back over to pick up Jenya to bring her home!
ReplyDeleteYes April, that's it! We will have to show the girls how to be fierce and "smize" although I think they've already got it down :)
